A collaboration agreement with the National Engineering University (UNI) of Peru is signed. The ceremony was presented and presided by His Excellency the Rector of UNI Dr. Jorge Alva Hurtado, accompanied by Prof. Fernando Varela Soto, the First Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Lima Architect Miguel Romero Sotelo, the Academic Vice-Rector Dr. Gilberto Becerra Arévalo and the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Dr. Javier Arrieta Lasarte. Other academic authorities and the General Director of RAUROS in Peru, Eng. Yaneth Vargas, attended the ceremony.

The signed agreement grants UNI 20 educational licenses of ICARO software, an expert management system for the roads’ assets. It is expected that in a next step the same will be done with DEDALO software, an expert system in airport pavements’ management. The transfer of these licenses is intended to be a first step in technology transfer as well as a training model for UNI students. The agreement contemplates the celebration of an annual postgraduate seminar of 20 hours. Students who attend classes and pass a practical test will receive a diploma as a certificate of attendance, accredited by RAUROS Company.
