This project, which has been co-funded by the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) and administered by CONGOPE (Consortium of Provincial Autonomous Governments of Ecuador), exploits technologies in the field of road planning and management, such as GIS tools, multi-criteria matrixes and the World Bank's HDM-4 socio-economic evaluation software. The entire methodology is conducted by an integrative approach and is based on the following strategic lines:
In this way, the methodological tool succeeds in reaching the strategic lines from the analysis and analytical evaluation of real data, providing institutions in charge of road planning and maintenance with a powerful and effective instrument that will help them in decision-making process.
