During last July, RaurosGroup presented the project carried out in Ecuador on the creation of a methodology for defining Comprehensive Road Development Plans. Along 6 locations throughout the country (Quito, Guayaquil, Santo Domingo, Portoviejo, Cuenca and Ambato), the consultants of RaurosGroup María Martín y Pablo Turrado presented the tool to technicians, officials and Prefects of the GAD (Decentralized Autonomous Governments) of all 23 continental provinces, as well as representatives of the IDB and the BDE (Development Bank of Ecuador). All of them welcomed the project and the tool developed with great reception. From RaurosGroup we thank all the participants.

The signed agreement grants UNI 20 educational licenses of ICARO software, an expert management system for the roads’ assets. It is expected that in a next step the same will be done with DEDALO software, an expert system in airport pavements’ management. The transfer of these licenses is intended to be a first step in technology transfer as well as a training model for UNI students.
